So just what are we up to?
And most certainly, we HAVE been busy! Here’s some of the stuff going on in Cryode land:
Client Projects
I was happy to work with Leigh and Jan of J. Marie Fine Cakes back in January, helping them with turning their Photoshop design into a fully-functioning website, and assisting in the setup of a Yahoo! E-commerce store front. It was an interesting new challenge, and I enjoyed it fully. Leigh was a pleasure to work with. I also encourage anyone who has any taste whatsoever to grab one (or as many as you can!) of Jan’s delicious cakes. You won’t be disappointed.
Currently I’m working with Krista of Personify on An Organized Nest, putting the final touches on the in-progress Drupal back-end. Another interesting new project for me, which was not without it’s occasional headache, but hey – that’s what the web is about. Learning and challenging yourself. Love it!
I also have another front-end development project that I can’t go into detail about (gotta love NDAs, eh?), which should wrap up next week.
Need some work done yourself? You know where to contact me!
Projects
In whatever free time I can muster, you can usually find me working on some sort of side project. Currently I’m in the design and planning stages of Mod Your Bike, and about 30% into a PHP Class for a URL-shortening service. You’ll be able to find that in the Forge once the first version is completed. Keep an eye on it for any future revisions if you happen to take interest in or download and use the code.
I’ve also got quite the list of other projects I’d like to pursue or have already been started and are on hold for cooler and/or more important work, and there’s even talks of a Twitter app! We’ll see what happens. Any cool news will be broadcasted here, naturally.
The Community
The design community in general is amazing. I can’t say enough for my peers. Some of the nicest, most professional people you will run into. I never find myself far from an answer if I run into a snag. So big thanks to some of you who have helped with different things around the way. Kevin & Dave for your Drupal awesomeness, Kevin @ SecretTweet for being a constant AIM companion :) And many more.
Also a recent shout to Graham who runs Mono Expression, who featured my black-and-white portrait on the site. Thanks much! I’ll send you hate mail later for spelling my name wrong.
So are you my friend on Twitter yet? If not, follow me at @Cryode
Best regards to all, and don’t hesitate to contact me, whether you’re interested in our services or you just want to say hi!
