News & Updates
So just what are we up to?
And most certainly, we HAVE been busy! Here’s some of the stuff going on in Cryode land:
Client Projects
I was happy to work with Leigh and Jan of J. Marie Fine Cakes back in January, helping them with turning their Photoshop design into a fully-functioning website, and assisting in the setup of a Yahoo! E-commerce store front. It was an interesting new challenge, and I enjoyed it fully. Leigh was a pleasure to work with. I also encourage anyone who has any taste whatsoever to grab one (or as many as you can!) of Jan’s delicious cakes. You won’t be disappointed.
Currently I’m working with Krista of Personify on An Organized Nest, putting the final touches on the in-progress Drupal back-end. Another interesting new project for me, which was not without it’s occasional headache, but hey – that’s what the web is about. Learning and challenging yourself. Love it!
I also have another front-end development project that I can’t go into detail about (gotta love NDAs, eh?), which should wrap up next week.
Need some work done yourself? You know where to contact me!
Projects
In whatever free time I can muster, you can usually find me working on some sort of side project. Currently I’m in the design and planning stages of Mod Your Bike, and about 30% into a PHP Class for a URL-shortening service. You’ll be able to find that in the Forge once the first version is completed. Keep an eye on it for any future revisions if you happen to take interest in or download and use the code.
I’ve also got quite the list of other projects I’d like to pursue or have already been started and are on hold for cooler and/or more important work, and there’s even talks of a Twitter app! We’ll see what happens. Any cool news will be broadcasted here, naturally.
The Community
The design community in general is amazing. I can’t say enough for my peers. Some of the nicest, most professional people you will run into. I never find myself far from an answer if I run into a snag. So big thanks to some of you who have helped with different things around the way. Kevin & Dave for your Drupal awesomeness, Kevin @ SecretTweet for being a constant AIM companion :) And many more.
Also a recent shout to Graham who runs Mono Expression, who featured my black-and-white portrait on the site. Thanks much! I’ll send you hate mail later for spelling my name wrong.
So are you my friend on Twitter yet? If not, follow me at @Cryode
Best regards to all, and don’t hesitate to contact me, whether you’re interested in our services or you just want to say hi!

Cryode goes toll-free!
800.286.1619
You can now reach Cryode Studios via telephone toll-free at 800-286-1619. The number has actually been around for a while (and was used under our previous business name), but I decided to wait to promote the number until it had a more professional sound to it. If you reach us outside of business hours, don’t fret – just leave a voicemail and we’ll get back to you.
And for helping with the professional image, I’d like to thank Scott Johnson of ExtraLife for providing the sexy man voice callers will hear and hopefully enjoy. As a fan of Scott’s web comic and podcast, I shot him an email to see if he’d like to provide the recordings. Obviously he did, and even thanked me for the opportunity. So please check out his site for some great comics, podcasts, and more (like GoDaddy coupons!).
Also I hope you enjoy the random bits of holiday flair added here and there around the site. The ornament RSS is my favorite :)

The Forge is "launched"
So what does a bored evening after the work day has ended lead to? → The Forge!
At least it does for me. I got inspired after viewing some CSS and logo galleries, and decided to at least put something up for the time being. That way when I actually do get the time to release some projects to the general public, I won’t have to make the site that it’s going into first.
When you can expect to see something released is a big mystery as of right now. Most likely the first addition will be some sort of Code Igniter helper or library (this site is built off of CI, so naturally I’ve made a few additions to suit my needs). I also hope to make a couple additions to jQuery, and possibly the vBulletin message board software, if I can find the time to reacquaint myself with it (been a while!).
So I hope you can forgive me for making a news post about, well, nothing really. At least the logo is cool! =)
Cryode Studios is born!
And it’s about freakin’ time!
Welcome everyone to our humble home on the net. We’re happy to finally have the site finalized and ready for shameless spamming marketing to the world.
What we’re about.
Cryode Studios is a web design and development studio, who wants to create your project. We’re up-to-date on all the fancy lingo like CSS and SSMT. We’ve got the tools, the knowledge, and the attitude to get your project done and done right.
Read more about our history, the people behind the scenes, and other (rather unnecessary) tidbits. Or if we’ve already sweet-talked you into loving us, you can contact us with your needs today!
What you can look forward to.
As with most passionate web aficionados, we don’t limit our creativity to client projects. You can usually find us dedicating many a sleepless evening to a personal project (or eight). And we’ll be sharing those projects with the world as they come to fruition.
Not too far into the future we’ll be launching The Forge, the home of our design and development creations (think PHP Classes, jQuery tricks, etc). We also have a web-related blog in the works (temporarily on hold waiting for Wordpress 2.7) that we’re looking forward to opening.
We’ll also be making some more additions to this website – RSS feeds for news & content is at the top of our list, along with some other random stuff (and super secret fancy schmancy admin stuff you aren’t privy to!).
So thanks for stopping by!
We hope to gain you as a trusted, satisfied client, a new professional associate, a creepy stalker, or at least someone to question our odd posts on Twitter. See you soon!
Best regards,
